Ohsome Inc Launches new Triple 000’s Sportfishing site

This afternoon, Ohsome inc launched client site www.triple000s.com. The site is an updated version of their old site, with a more robust content management system and a complete online charter booking system.

“We’re excited to streamline our booking process so we can spend more time on fishing” says Jason, owner and captain aboard the Triple 000’s head boat. The site marks an improvement in charter fishing sites across the board and sets the bar higher for competitors.

Ohsome Inc Launches JumpwithBeth.com

Ohsome Inc launched client website www.jumpwithbeth.com today. The site was built using wordpress and a customized theme via thesis. It features a shopping cart integrated with paypal, video uploads and an event manager.

KSQRDesign & Pho Grill Sites to be included in Web Design Index

So it’s been busy lately, hence the lack of postings. But it appears that all of our diligent work has paid off again. We got word today that both www.ksqrdesign.com & www.pho-grill.com will be included in the next Web Design Index to be published.

This is the second accolade for ksqrdesign.com, which received recognition from DesignFirm.org as an exceptional site for both design and development in 2009. KSQRDesign is company face for the very talented Kim Karon who, as you can tell by the site, has a great design aesthetic. Ohsome inc worked closely with Kim to bring her ideas into motion and create KSQRDesign.com. It was a great site to work on and we had a lot of fun working with Kim. (more…)

Tables are the Devil & Your Website is Hell Online

Tables used to be the standard for building and laying out websites. In the 1990’s and early 2000’s, css was not widely supported in browsers, so using tables for layout became a popular way to ensure cross-browser consistency. However, as browsers progressed and css became more widely supported, separating the layout from the content proved to have all sorts of advantages. Today, most websites use css to handle the layout of their site while leaving the content in the html. Yet, there are some that are left in the past because they have either failed to update their website in the past 8 years or their website developer never bothered to learn css. Boomerang Wins Award for Website

All our hardwork has paid off. Late last night we received word that the website for KSQRDesign has been recognized by DesignFirm.org as an exceptional site for both design and development. We worked very closely with the woman behind KSQRDesign, Kim Karon, to put her designs into action and it came out beautifully. Optimizing Title Tags

Optimizing your website for search engines can be a little tricky. We’ve covered the basics in our Beyond the Buzzwords: SEO article about what’s important to search engines, but we didn’t really delve into any techniques. Here we’ll go over what’s important to have in your title tags for each page.

Different Title Tags – you want each page to have a different title tag. Go to your website and flip through a few pages. If your site title is the same throughout (most likely your company name), you’re going to want to change that. (more…)

Launch of Boomerang Websites

Because of the increase in business surrounding website creation and redesign, Boomerang Design and Marketing has developed interactive marketing into it’s own department. Boomerang Websites is mostly responsible for website design and development for the same customer base: small businesses. They will, however, work closely with the rest of Boomerang Design and Marketing to provide surrounding services such as Search Engine Optimization, Graphic Design, and Marketing for all of our small business clients.
